His work bridges technical precision and practical implementation, ensuring strategies are both ecologically robust and operationally grounded.

Viktor Weinand

Block chain & agri-industry operations

Viktor is an operator with several years of hands-on experience in East and Central Africa, supporting the relaunch of value chains, the development of industrial operations, and the transformation of complex projects into functioning businesses in Eastern DRC. Viktor has worked on EU-funded programmes, operational scale-ups, supply-chain structuring, financial management, and strategic partnerships in one of Africa’s most complex regions.

Fernando Sousa

Biology & agroecology

Fernando is a biologist and researcher with over a decade of experience coordinating international projects on sustainable agriculture and agroforestry. He has worked across West Africa, North Africa, Türkiye, Portugal, and Switzerland, advancing research on soil health, biodiversity, and organic farming. Trained in Conservation Biology, he developed a lasting curiosity about soil fertility as the foundation of thriving communities and ecosystems. He now supports efforts to evaluate and scale agroforestry and other agroecological practices in the Mediterranean and West Africa, with a strong focus on knowledge management and innovation systems.

Environmental communication

Marília is dedicated to advancing ecological literacy and fostering a more conscious relationship between society and nature. An award winning journalist & specialist in environmental communication, she believes in the power of information to regenerate the connections between people, territories, and ecosystems. With over 10 years of experience in environmental journalism and sustainability projects related to forests and agriculture, she creates narratives that bridge technical knowledge, ecological awareness, and collective action.

Huguette Nkurunziza

Digital communication & content creation

Huguette is an author and development communication professional with over five years of experience in project management, strategic communication, and stakeholder engagement. Driven by a strong interest in sustainable approaches that enhance community resilience, her expertise includes writing, communication strategy design, website and social media management.

Dr. Christian Gouet

Dr. Christian Gouet is a senior international consultant in agri-food systems, impact investment, cooperatives and policy processes. He has advised governments, NGOs, producer organisations, cooperatives, UN agencies and social investment funds, working directly with farmers’ organisations in over 30 countries. His expertise spans cooperative management, business planning, finance, advocacy and policy dialogue. As advisor to Koru Praxis, Christian supports Floris with strategic guidance on farmer organisations, inclusive value chains and responsible agri-food development.

Prof. Dr. Geert Vervaeke

Prof. Dr. Geert Vervaeke is an internationally recognized expert in law, psychology, leadership and human behavior. Former Dean of Tilburg Law School and now responsible for Tilburg University’s internationalization strategy, he brings deep experience in governance, negotiation, decision-making, conflict resolution and institutional change. His work combines academic depth with practical insight into how people, organizations and institutions make decisions. As advisor to Koru Praxis, he supports Floris with perspective, judgment and experience where this can add value to clients and projects.

Benoît Clément

Benoît Clément is a climate and business strategist working with experience across carbon markets and institutional finance. As advisor to Koru Praxis, Benoît supports Floris when organizations need to build market infrastructure and partnerships to enable environmental and social outcomes, where he brings practical insight into carbon markets, MRV, product and business strategy, and climate finance.
